What if the next breakthrough in AI isn’t defined by what machines can do, but by what they should do? In this presentation, Dilem Kaya, a member of SAP’s AI Ethics team and a master student at the Hasso Plattner Institute, highlights the balance between ethical guidelines and technological progress in AI development. She focuses on the advancements of cutting-edge AI systems and their ability to achieve “beyond human-level” performance, analyzing their implications for society and technology. With an emphasis on transparency, accountability, and human-centered design, Dilem illustrates how these principles are shaping both the present and the future of advanced AI development.
Dilem Kaya is a Master student in Digital Health at the Hasso Plattner Institute and a working student in the AI Ethics team at SAP. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Coding and Software Engineering. Beyond her academic pursuits, she is an active member of the Women in AI community and the AI Grid community as well as a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes. She regularly shares her insights as a speaker at renowned events and conferences in the field of AI.
